Stone Coated Roof Sheet

Stone-coated sheets reflect solar radiation through their granular surface rather than absorbing it, reducing heat transfer into the living space below. When installed on battens, the natural air gap beneath acts as a thermal barrier. This combination lowers interior temperatures and can reduce cooling costs significantly during summer months across South India.

The stone granule surface breaks up and absorbs raindrop impact instead of letting it reverberate like bare metal. When installed with proper underlayment and ceiling insulation, rain noise reduces to a soft, muffled sound. This makes stone coated sheets significantly quieter than standard metal roofing during heavy rain.

Stone coated sheets are built to resist rust. The Galvalume steel base, which combines aluminium, zinc, and silicon, provides strong protection against corrosion. The stone coating and acrylic overglaze add further protection, making them far more rust resistant than standard galvanised metal sheets over the long term.

Stone coated sheets feature interlocking panels and an overlapping system that channels rainwater away effectively. However, their watertight performance depends heavily on correct installation. Poor overlap, loose fasteners, or improperly sealed flashing at junctions such as pipes and walls can create entry points for water ingress over time.

This covers defects in the product itself and does not include damage caused by improper installation, mishandling, or natural disasters. Approved claims are limited to replacement of the defective material only. The original KPG GST invoice is required for all warranty claims.
